Value-packed sedan puts Acura back in the luxury game | New & Used CAr Dealership Service Las Vegas, Nevada

http://findlayacura.com/

The TLX SH-AWD is a welcome return to excellence by a brand that was missing for too long. Its looks, features, value and fuel economy should put Acura back on plenty of shopping lists.

In addition to being the worst crossword answer ever, the three-star 2015 Acura TLX SH-AWD sport sedan is a major step back toward relevance for Acura.

The brand, which Honda launched in the 1980s, invented the Japanese luxury car and built a handful of great ones. Mysteriously, it then checked out for a couple of decades. Acura produced a string of ever less-relevant cars, hitting bottom when its beak-like Angry-Birds grille became a joke.

The TLX's looks, features and price suggest Acura's sabbatical is over.

The new TLX comes in front- and all-wheel drive. It runs with a tough crowd, competing with the Audi S4, BMW 3-series, Cadillac ATS, Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS and Mercedes-Benz C-class.
TLX prices start at $31,445 for a front-wheel drive model with a 206-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 linked to a conventional nine-speed automatic transmission is available starting at $35,320.

A Look at the 2016 Acura ILX Aero Kit

Posted on 2015/02/26 by AcuraConnected

Based on these images of a fully accessorized 2016 Acura ILX, I’d have to say this Aero Kit is one of the most aggressive designs Acura has ever offered.

What makes this kit unique is the addition of black, or “carbon fiber” sections on the front and rear underbody spoilers. It’s the first time Acura has used these type of dark accents so prominently, and on lighter colored cars the contrast will be striking. I’m doubtful that the pieces will actually be carbon fiber, but they do seem to have a different texture or pattern that is distinguishable from the rest of the body-colored attachments. To me the front bumper styling is very BMW M3ish, and that’s a good thing for those looking for an aggressive sporty look.

2013 Acura ILX 2.4: 100,000 Miles Achieved | Findlay Acura Henderson NV

When Acura’s John Watts handed me the key to my 2013 Acura ILX 6-speed on June 12, 2012, I don’t think he realized just how quickly I was going to put that car through its paces. By the time it was a year old, its mileage had already taken it out of warranty. And now, some 28 months after driving off into the sunset with a factory-fresh 16-mile ILX, it’s surpassed the 100,000 mile mark. And it’s done so with flying colors – just routine maintenance and an occasional wash.
Will I take this ILX as far as my now-531,000 mile 1994 Legend? I’m still not sure. But, I’ll confirm with a certainty that Acura has definitely still “got it.” The ILX is as solid today as ever, and it seems anxious every day to start up and to continue this mileage crusade. Thanks again to Acura for the chance to spend some time behind the wheel.
See you at the next checkpoint.

2016 Acura ILX to Debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show | Findlay Acura Henderson NV

Official release from Acura Media Newsroom:
Catch the Debut of the 2016 Acura ILX at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show
10/20/2014 – TORRANCE, Calif.
Big Changes in Store for Acura’s Sport Sedan
Acura is preparing to unveil a substantially new 2016 ILX at the L.A. Auto Show next month as the brand aims to raise the stakes again in the entry-premium sedan segment. Already bringing in more buyers under the age of 35 to the segment than any other entry-premium model, the new 2016 ILX stands to solidify and broaden its appeal with a comprehensive update that includes a potent new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling, and substantially upgraded interior design.
Much like its hot new stable mate—the brand new TLX—the 2016 ILX will bring a sharper performance focus while delivering a greater set of high-value comfort, convenience and safety features that consumers desire in the increasingly competitive entry-luxury field.
Catch the unveiling of the ILX on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Acura booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
